Microsoft officially introduced ChatGPT to the Bing search engine to usher in a new era

Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it has launched the latest versions of the Bing (Bing) search engine and Edge browser supported by ChatGPT. Microsoft’s CEO said that “search engines have ushered in a new era.” Microsoft says Bing is built on a new next-generation large-scale language model that is more powerful than ChatGPT and can help it use its network knowledge to intelligently interface with OpenAI’s technology. The new chatbot in Bing can help users refine their queries and can draft and translate messages, rewrite computer code, and more. Microsoft said the company will target search results that track chatbots to address concerns that it will fabricate information. Microsoft says it wants to bring the Bing experience to all browsers, not just Edge. The company expects more advertising revenue from the increase in Bing users. The new version of Bing goes live today, but the preview is limited. The company expects to launch a mobile version in the coming weeks and expand the preview to millions of people.
