Allstate (NYSE:ALL) reported Q2 loss widened to $5.29 per diluted share from a loss of $3.80 a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected a loss of $4.82.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $13.98 billion, up from $12.22 billion a year earlier. Three of four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $13.36 billion.
