Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced the completion of its acquisition of primary care provider One Medical

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced on February 22 that it has completed its $3.49 billion acquisition of 1Life Healthcare, the operator of One Medical’s line of primary health clinics. A spokesman for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said the day before yesterday that the agency would not prosecute in time to stop the deal, but would continue to investigate. One Medical operates more than 200 medical offices in 26 markets in the U.S., and customers pay subscription fees to access their physician and digital health services. After completing the acquisition, Amazon will significantly expand its healthcare business and enter the physical medical clinic segment.
