Accenture PLC (NYSE:ACN)  is cutting about 19,000 jobs, or 2.5% of its workforce, over the next 18 months as the professional-services company looks to slash costs and streamline operations amid slowing IT spending.

March 23, 2023 —  Accenture Plc(NYSE:ACN)  reported financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2023, ended February 28, 2023, with revenues of $15.8 billion, an increase of 5% in U.S. dollars and 9% in local currency over the same period last year. Accenture Plc(NYSE:ACN)  posted fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings of $2.69 per diluted share, up 6% from a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected adjusted EPS of $2.50. Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 28 was $15.81 billion, up from $15.05 billion a year ago. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $15.59 billion. The consulting company said it expects fiscal Q3 revenue of $16.1 billion to $16.7 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ are looking for $16.65 billion. For fiscal 2023, adjusted earnings are projected to be $11.41 to $11.63 per share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ are expecting adjusted EPS of $11.46. GAAP operating income was $1.94
